"Fully Predictable ResultsTM (FPR)"

No one truly has a crystal ball for predicting the outcome of future events.

However, there are many things which can be forecast with virtual certainty.

1.  Some things are obvious to almost everyone.
  • Everyone will die some time.
  • The sun will rise again tomorrow.
  • etc.

2.  There are many things that may not be immediately obvious, but for which the outcome is quite apparent to anyone who can stop and think about it.
Unfortunately, not everyone thinks.

Although a few people may have limited thinking power, most people are fully capable of thinking

For some reason, they just don't.

Maybe they are too lazy to think.

Maybe they cannot remember to think.

Maybe they do not want to think.

Regardless of their reason, here are some examples where people clearly were not thinking.

  1. School Ballot Issue
  2. Cost Management.
  3. Mutual Funds
  4. Demand vs. Supply
  5. Demand for federal help
  6. Safety Issues
  7. Morals & Ethics
  8. Superspeader Event
  9. Employee Motivation.
  10. Disincentive Programs.
  11. Snow Days.
  12. Defect Reporting.
  13. Ethics Compliance.
  14. Multiple Standards.
  15. Abdication.

And of course, just by shear luck, some people may appear at times to be "thinkers" - as when they correctly guess (or blindly assume) a future outcome.  (But that is another story.)
